After months of preparation and excitement the time is finally here. It’s Christmas! Over the next few days our B93.3 family is looking forward to spending some time with our own families. We’ll be making memories (and cookies). Meanwhile on the radio, we have some big time talents ready to share the joy of the season with us.
Starting Christmas Eve Eve, Monday. Kix Brooks takes to the air with his “An American Country Christmas.” Kix has been doing a Christmas special every year for the past 13 years. Keeping with tradition, Kix has invited some of his festive friends to join him on this year’s show, including Blake Shelton, Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Kelsea Ballerini, Brett Eldredge and more. Kix and his special guests will share holiday music, yuletide traditions and festive memories.
Over the Thanksgiving weekend we were treated to the CMA Christmas special hosted by Trisha Yearwood on ABC television. It is now a 3-hour country music special, “Every Girl At Christmas.” The show is hosted by 3 time Academy of Country Music award winner Trisha Yearwood. She is a chart-topping country artist, Food Network star and host of ABC’s” CMA Country Christmas.” In addition, stars like Chris Young, Darius Rucker, Thomas Rhett, Carly Pearce, Brett Eldredge, Lady Antebellum, Chris Janson, Keith Urban, Dan + Shay, Luke Bryan and more share their memories of holiday food, gifts, music, movies, traditions, and decorations.
The center piece of our Christmas programming on B93.3 is the locally produced Christmas in the Country, presented by Mills Auto group commercial free, with Host Dan Goshey. This program has been a tradition on B93.3 for many, many years and our friends at Mills have been with us since the beginning. Dan Goshey is the host and creator of “This Was Christmas,” the holiday favorite that airs on our sister station Cool 103.5 through the Christmas season. This loved Christmas tradition continues with stories, music and all the feels that come with Christmas time. Dan captures the very essence of Christmas and presents it to us again this year with our sponsor Mills Auto Group.
Once the Christmas wrapping has been stuffed in the recycling bin and the left overs have been put away, we set our sights on the New Year. How better to close our 2019 than a good look back at what we lived and loved through the year. Hosted by chart-topping CMA-nominated singer Morgan Wallen, this three-hour special rounds up all of the year’s hottest songs. The special will feature music and interviews from Dan + Shay, Eric Church, Runaway June, Kane Brown, Luke Combs, Jason Aldean, Thomas Rhett, Cole Swindell, Carrie Underwood, Maren Morris, Old Dominion and more.
2019 Rewind with Morgan Wallen will air from 9 pm to 12 midnight on B93.3.
