A Brainerd native, Bill Satre graduated from Brainerd High School and pursued his Bachelors in Communication at Bemidji State University where he met his wife Shelly. Bill has been a radio broadcaster since he got his first break in that business in 1986 at KVBR.

Through the years the radio profession has taken him all over Minnesota, from the Cities to Duluth and St. Cloud and finally back home to Brainerd. He continues to work actively on many community projects. He has managed and sang with the Legacy Chorale of Greater Minnesota and served on the boards of a number of community organizations. In addition, you may find him emceeing at many annual events throughout Minnesota or as the PA announcer at Tae Kwon Do tournaments and all home Brainerd High School Football and Hockey games.

Bill and Shelly have two grown sons, Alex and CJ. Family activities still involve going to concerts and sports together.
