The Brainerd Jaycees have shared some of the Pro Tips with the Hubbard Studios…. Here some pro tips, straight from the planning committee, for more information please visit icefishing.org
Transportation
We have transportation! Our shuttles are the easiest transportation to and from the contest. Park at Brainerd International Raceway and jump on a bus. They run from 8:00am until the last contestants are off the ice.
Both the 115 Lake Access and the Grand View Lodge Lake Access will be closed the 27th-28th. Please plan accordingly and above all be SAFE
Cold Conditions
Fun Fact: We have nearly 120 volunteers who come out and drill holes with us on Friday, it is certainly something to see. If you have been checking out the forecast for the weekend it is looking to be a bit chilly overnight. BRING A TOOL TO RE BREAK YOUR HOLE AND A SCOOPER ! We do not sell these on the ice.
While we are at it, DRESS WARM .We have our @Mr. Heater Tent where you can warm up and purchase Raffles, a first aid tent, and the Gull Lake Events bar on ice.
Tickets
You must have your contest ticket on your person and visible when you catch & register a fish during the contest.
Also, please give our team some time to get it entered into the database.
