Law enforcement have closed off a street near St. Mathias Road just south of Brainerd because of a standoff at an individual’s residence.

According to the Brainerd Dispatch, Capt. Scott Goddard with the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office said that CWCSO was alerted just after noon about an individual who possibly wanted to harm himself. The county tactical team was called in to negotiate.

The Sheriff’s office is asking that people stay away from the St. Mathias Road area this afternoon afternoon. The negotiation with the individual was ongoing as of 4:10 pm.
