Nisswa Voted Best Small Town In Minnesota

WCCO has a vote to decide on the best small town in Minnesota and Nisswa is the people’s choice.

The town with a population of just under 2000 has been voted the best small town in Minnesota! It’s easy to see why. The town is as beautiful as can be and countless families flock to the area in the summer. Rumor is there’s also a really cool summer concert series every summer at Grand View Resort also…

In the WCCO video, local historian Dick Carlson mentions how back in the day a mistake made by the railroad led to a reroute through Nisswa that ended up cutting a trip between the Twin Cities from four days to six hours.
