New Music Video Highlights The Best Parts Of Minnesota

Minnesota might have a new anthem to start blaring on the boats and in the ice houses. Minnesota’s own Alex Frecon has come up with a great tune with ‘I’m From Minnesota’.

Frecon, who’s provided us with awesome videos like “The Cake Eater Anthem” which was a clever song about Edina that almost made me like them, has put out his best content to date with ‘I’m From Minnesota’. Shot in what looks like mostly the Twin Cities and Duluth, Frecon puts out a catchy tune that highlights our state’s love of lakes, beer and waving hi to everyone.

There’s even a couple of pretty big cameos when it comes to the land of 10,000 lakes. Both former MVP and Minnesota Twin Justin Morneau and actor Erik Stolhanske (Super Troopers and Beer Fest) make an appearance in the music video. Morneau, while Canadian, is an adopted Minnesotan (you get to do that once you hit roughly 200 homers in a Twins uniform). Stolhanske is one of us, graduating from Breck before heading to college at Colgate University.

Now don’t mind me, I’ll just be here watching the video a couple more times and enjoying my soda pop.
