According to reports, the Minnesota Twins are firing manager Paul Molitor.

Just one year after winning AL Manager of the Year, Paul Molitor has been fired as the Manager of the Minnesota Twins.

Twins are firing Paul Molitor, one year after he was named Manager of the Year and with two years remaining on a contract signed last offseason.

I see some logic in moving on. I thought he was headed toward a firing last year before the big second half. Still surprising, though.

Molitor, who managed the Twins to a record of 78-84 this past season, had two years left on his contract.
