Tuesday morning on the Brighter Side of the Brainerd Lakes we introduced you to the Kinney’s who are serving a need in the Lakes Area with their Horse rescue, Gabriel’s Home. For those who are new to Gabriel’s Home, they are a horse rescue located east of Brainerd.
There is an incredible need right now with the price of hay going through the roof to help rescue equines in dire straights. Their focus has been one horse here and there but now we are officially a non-profit organization and are going to help as many horses as they possibly can. Their fundraiser is Saturday September 18 from 1-4 at Gabriel’s Home. While you’re enjoying the horses and lambs there will also be games, silent auction items and hotdogs and chips (free will offering all goes right to feeding the horses)
For the young guests there is a sawdust coin dig, pinatas, and coloring contest for the kids.
