- 6 Slices of French bread cut 1″ thick
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup half and half- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- TOPPING: 2 TBS soft butter
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp light corn syrup
- Butter 9X13″ pan overlap slices of french bread to completely fill pan
- Beat eggs, milk, half and half, vanilla, cinnamon and nut meg
- Pour mixture over bread, cover and refrigerate over night. The next day remove from the refrigerator for 45 minutes before baking
- Heat over to 350 Mix butter, brown sugar and corn syrup and spread over each piece of bread
- Bake 45 minutes until golden and puffed
