Here Are Brainerd Area Businesses That Are Providing Free Lunch For Kids

Here are local Brainerd businesses that are helping to contribute by providing kids with free lunches.

The Raboin & Francis Law Firm / Baxter Cafe

Free weekend lunch meals for students under 18 years of age. Raboin & Francis Law Office with Baxter Cafe & Catering are offering free lunch. Call 829-1739 after 8am Saturday or Sunday to have the order ready by 11:30 am for pickup.

Ernie’s On Gull Lake

In light of the area school closings we have teamed up with US Foods to provide a well balanced meal FREE to all kids. This will be available at both Ernies’s on Gull and Main Street Ale House starting Monday, March 16th. Both locations will be open daily at 11am.

A-Pine Restaurant

March 16-27 A-Pine Restaurant in Jenkins will be providing a Free Sack Lunch for school aged children. Monday – Friday between the hours of 10:30 am & 11:30 am. Call or stop in and pick up. 218-568-8353

Pierz Subway

Starting Tues March 17th and going through March, PIERZ Subway will be offering free meals to school age kids from 11am-2pm, Monday through Friday.

The meal includes a 4” ham or turkey sandwich, applesauce, and a juice box or a milk. No purchase necessary, no questions asked and no judgments passed. Just say you are here for the free kids meal and we will be happy to oblige.

Little Falls Walmart Subway

Starting Wednesday, March 18th and going through March 27th, LITTLE FALLS WAL-MART SUBWAY will be offering free kids-meals to school age children from 11am-2pm, Monday through Friday.

The kids-meal includes a 4” ham or turkey sandwich, applesauce, and a juice box or a milk (no toy). Just stop in, mention that you saw our Facebook post, and we will be happy to oblige.

Randall Subway

As all are aware by now, local schools are closing due to COVID-19. As this may cause challenges to area families, the Randall Subway would like to offer our help ensuring area children have lunch.

Starting this Tuesday and going through March, Randall Subway will be offering free meals to school age kids from 11am- 2pm, Monday through Friday.

The meal includes a 4-inch ham or turkey sandwich, applesauce, and a juice box or milk.
No purchase necessary. No questions asked. No judgement passed. Just say you are here for the free kids meal and we will be happy to oblige.

The Burn

While schools are not in session, we want to do our part to provide for the kids in our community by offering a free kids shake to any little ones 10 and under who stop by The Burn. It’s a snack that is loaded with vitamins and nutrients and is completely awesome for our littlest friends! This is absolutely free and no purchase is required!! We will also be providing a healthy snack to go along with your child’s shake to make sure our kiddos have something great to snack on while home from school!

Sweet Sensations

In light of the Covid-19 virus, we here at Sweet Sinsations care about your health and safety. With that being said we will only open from 11am-2pm until schools resume. We will be offering lunch for adults and FREE sack lunch for school aged kids. We will expand our lunch menu adding a couple more sandwiches/wraps. Sack lunches will include but not be limited to peanut butter & jelly sandwich, piece of fruit and a juice box and a fresh baked cookie(from me of course). Adult lunches are NOT free. You DO NOT need to purchase an adult lunch to receive a free kids lunch. Kids can eat free no matter what!!! We will continue our standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout this pandemic. 

North Country Cafe

Beginning Wednesday, March 18th, through as long as Crosby-Ironton School District is closed, North Country Cafe will be happy to provide boxed lunches for any student to assure that no one goes without. These meals will be prepared each morning and ready to go no questions asked. We will work with you to find a pick-up time. Please contact us by Tuesday, March 17th so we can properly prepare.

Pine River Backus Schools

Grab & Go Lunches will be available to those who need starting tomorrow, Monday, March 16 from 11-1 in the Commons Area. Lunches are free to anyone 18 and under.

Pequot Lakes Schools

Starting Wednesday, March 18th Pequot Lakes Schools will provide a breakfast and lunch bagged together for students.  A bagged meal can be picked up at either the High School or Eagle View between 7 – 8:30 a.m. or 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. daily.  

Please contact your child’s school office with the full name of the student(s) requesting meals for planning purposes.

Ironton Legion

free lunches will be available for kids weekdays at the  Ironton Legion, but parents must call a day ahead. 218-546-5975.
