Garth Announces Second Show at US Bank Stadium

Over the weekend, Minnesota Governor Mark Dayton made a Twitter plea to Garth brooks to add another performance at the US Bank Stadium after the first show sold out with in and hour on Friday.

This morning, Garth Brooks announced there will be another show and it will be on May 3rd. This will be the day before the one that sold out. The announcement came in a press conference with the Governor via video at the state capital in St. Paul.

After tickets for his May 4th concert at U.S. Bank Stadium sold out within an hour last Friday, the governor issued a formal request via Twitter that Brooks schedule an encore show for the fans who couldn’t snag tickets.

“Minnesota is home to tens of thousands of Garth Brooks fans who love his music and are thrilled he is coming to perform at U.S. Bank Stadium,” read a statement from Dayton. “His first show sold out in an hour, with 50,000 people waiting in line — showing there is great demand for another concert.”

Tickets for the encore show will go on sale at 10 am on Thursday the 20th.
