In a summer that has been anything but business as usual it’s been hard on young music artists clawing their way to the top. This week one such local musician has had some of her hard work pay off by being featured on CMT. Dariann Leigh is going places. After years of spending time at the lake here in the Brainerd Area she is making waves in Nashville. Dariann first appeared on B93.3 during the Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza when she sang the national anthem before the annual traditional fishing contest. We had her join us from the Midwest Country Music Organizations awards gala when she was in the running for the top new artist category. The very first of our Couch Concerts from Studio B was with Dariann. Now she has a new song and CMT has taken notice.
