Tis the season for the first real dose of snow…
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for the Lakes Area from 9pm Tuesday night until 12pm Wednesday. Brainerd area snow accumulation is predicted to be between 4 and 9 inches.

A blustery north wing blowing in excess of 35 mph at times may limit visibility and hinder travel for Wednesday morning. There may be blowing and drifting snow in portions of the area, so the public is to take caution and possibly move travel departure from Wednesday morning until Wednesday afternoon.

It’s a good time to refresh the first-snowfall driving habits. Anyone with front wheel drive takes about double-time to get going… Rear wheel entertains us all with their fishtailing prowess and everyone else with 4-wheel drive blows by everyone else still driving 10 over as though they are invincible.
