Many of us tough Minnesotan’s say single digits really isn’t all that cold… In that case, the weather forecast for this year’s Jaycee’s Ice Fishing Extravaganza isn’t “all that cold”. Until we factor in some wind.

As of Sunday morning, weather models are showing cloudy skies expected for the contest and a daytime high of 8 degrees. Tolerable… that is, until we account for the projected 10-15mph winds with gusts to 21mph, sending the temperature plummiting to the 15-20 below zero range.

To be fair… we are still 6 full days away and things can certainly change.

But let’s look on the bright side. At least the ice is good and there is PLENTY of it!
