1.1 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of over 50K was seized earlier this month in rural Pequot Lakes.
On May 9th, the Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Department along with agents from the Lakes Area Drug Investigative Division, assisted the Federal Bureau of Investigation in executing a search warrant at a residence on the 27000 block of Beaver Dam Drive in Pequot Lakes.
Arrested in the investigation was 33 year-old, Nicholas Ronald Wynn.
While executing the FBI warrant, agents located over 1 pound of methamphetamine with a street resale value of more than $50,000. The methamphetamine is consistent with other seizures having come from a Mexican meth lab.
Law enforcement also located nearly an ounce of cocaine.
“This is one of the larger methamphetamine seizures we have seen in Crow Wing County”, says Sheriff Scott Goddard. “This shows that Crow Wing County’s methamphetamine
problems are not only in the cities of Crow Wing County, but also in the rural areas. We are going to concentrate our efforts not only within the city limits, but also in the outlying areas of Crow Wing County.”, says Sheriff Goddard.
