I’m so heartbroken that one of my dearest and oldest friends, Charley Pride, has passed away. It’s even worse to know that he passed away from COVID-19. What a horrible, horrible virus. Charley, we will always love you. (1/2)

Very sad to hear of the passing of a country legend, Mr Charley Pride. He was very kind to me early in my career, and his boldness and leadership as an African American country artist broke down many barriers for artists that followed. He will be greatly missed. #RIPCharliePride pic.twitter.com/CJVwaxvXnQ
