The 32nd annual Coats for Kids’ Drive is now underway in the Brainerd area through Kinship Partners.

Do you have any extras of the following?

  • Coats
  • Hats
  • Scarves
  • Mittens
  • Boots
  • Snow Pants

Over 1,000 winter coats and other winter outdoor wear are donated to children and families in the Brainerd area through the Coats For Kids program. Coats of all sizes are accepted. Kinship Partners asks that everything donated is in good condition and has working zippers.

The new or gently used coats should be dropped off at Crystal Cleaners in Brainerd or Crosby by Friday, October 19th.

The distribution for the Coats For Kids is set to happen on Saturday, October 27th from 9 am until 3 pm at the Westgate Mall in Baxter. From 9 am to 11 am, children are asked to be present to ensure that proper fit and be accompanied by a parent, guardian or their Kinship Partner. One coat per person plus the other winter wear will be given away. It is also to be known that there are no criteria beyond the need for a child to receive a winter coat.

If you cannot make the 9 am to 11 am, feel free to still come to the mall until 3 pm. Children do not need to be present to pick up a coat or outdoor wear then.
