The city of Brainerd announced that they are instituting a watering ban due to the hot and dry summer conditions.

According to a release sent out by the city, the watering of lawns and gardens is not allowed between the hours of 9am and 6pm, seven days a week.

Exceptions include if you are watering from a private well or using a water pump from a lake or river. Also exempt is if you have a newly sodded or seeded lawn.
