Garrison community invited to public meeting for Highway 169 project Nov. 30
The Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) and the City of Garrison invite the community to attend a public meeting to learn about plans to improve Highway 169 through Garrison on Wednesday, Nov. 30.
The meeting will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Garrison Community Center, 27174 Central St. in Garrison. A short presentation is planned at 5:30 p.m., followed by an open house. Guests will have the opportunity to visit with project staff, ask questions and view improvement options, including a roundabout concept at Highway 18 and Highway 169.
MnDOT will improve five miles of Highway 169 from south of Garrison at Crow Wing County Road 26 to north of Garrison at Pike Avenue in 2025. Work is anticipated to include new storm sewer, sidewalk and improvements to the busy intersection of Highway 18 and 169 in Garrison.
