Brett Young, the SoCal star nominee for CMA Awards- New Artist of the Year is just weeks away from releasing his 13-song sophomore album ‘Ticket to L.A.’ on December 7th.
With four platinum songs already under his belt, the 37-year old from Orange County, California hopes to duplicate the success of his self-titled debut album from 2016. Young, who has already claimed an ACM win for New Male Vocalist of the Year has also been nominated for CMA and Billboard Music Awards. After being drafted by both the Minnesota Twins and Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Young headed to Ole Miss on a baseball scholarship but an elbow injury cut his professional baseball dreams short. 4 years later, Young independently released his first 4-song EP.
His latest single Mercy has spent the last 4 weeks atop the Happy Hour Six-Pack countdown and doesn’t show signs of dropping anytime soon. Listen every afternoon at 5 as Eric Grant plays back the weeks’ top 6 songs on B93.3.
