A fire broke out at Rapper’s Eatery and Ale in Downtown Alexandria on Tuesday morning around 5:00.

Fire crews from several departments have been actively fighting the fire during the morning hours. Still no word on how much damage or the cause of the fire.

The Red Cross is at the Alexandria Fire department assisting displaced residents from this morning’s fire downtown.

Traffic been closed on Broadway from 3rd Avenue to 10th Avenue due to the heavy smoke in the area.

Our sister-station KIKV-FM shared that businesses reported, “The call came in around 4:30 a.m. (according to scanner traffic) when a tenant noticed smoke coming through the floor boards of their apartment.”
