
The City of Brainerd has declared a Snow Emergency that will be effective on Friday, February 8th, 2019.
SNOW EMERGENCY
A press release was sent out by the city letting people know about the schedule for snow plowing and removal that will happen on Friday. The snow plowing will begin at 5 am on all emergency routes and all north-south streets/streets that generally run north-south.
As for cleanup on east-west streets and also snow hauling in downtown district, that will begin on Saturday at 7 am.
The city also wanted to note that city staff will be plowing the streets throughout the entire day on Thursday, February 7th. It’s expected that it will snow all day so plows will work on snow emergency routes and other major roads all day.
It should also be noted that if you are parked on a snow emergency route on Friday, your vehicle will be ticketed and towed immediately.
SNOW REMOVAL NOTICE
The city of Brainerd also sent out a snow removal notice that will start at 3 am on Friday that will ban parking on these streets:
- Front Street from South 6th Street to South 8th Street
- Laurel Street from South 6th Street to South 8th Street
- South 7th Street from Maple Street to Front Street
