Brainerd International Raceway Owner Dies In Florida Boating Accident

According to a Florida news report, it has been confirmed that a missing boater that was found Monday was Brainerd International Raceway owner Jed Copham. 

Copham and his family were boating on Sunday, November 11th off the Lee County coast, which is near Punta Rassa. KARE 11 has reported that Copham fell overboard Sunday afternoon. A body washed up to the Punta Russa boat ramp Monday morning, which was later confirmed to be Copham.

The Brainerd International Raceway Facebook page put out a heartbreaking post Monday afternoon.

Copham and his family have owned the Brainerd International Raceway since 2006. Copham bought the raceway in 2006 from the Michigan-based Sports Resorts International Inc.
