After weeks of being in demo/remodel mode, the transformation of the old KFC in northeast Brainerd into a new Dairy Queen is complete.
DQ Area Brainerd Manager Tina Jensen said that final inspections were solidified last week. Training has been feverishly taking place this week.
The new DQ Grill ‘N Chill will be open for business on Sunday, July 21st. Store hours will be 10am-11pm. The new location has over 2 dozen parking spaces to make sure there is plenty of room for ice-cream lovers to park as well as a drive-thru for those in a hurry.
The Grill ‘N Chill location will house all of their ice cream creations including cake creations and design and decorating previously done at their now closed Westgate Mall location.
The new location opening coincides with one of DQ’s most popular events, “Miracle Treat Day“. Thursday, July 25th is Miracle Treat Day where $1 or more from each Blizzard treat sold will be donated to local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
Jensen says “We are so excited and look forward to “Making Happy” soon for all our Fans!!!”
