Brainerd Eats: Brickhouse Pizza In Brainerd Sold To New Owners

IMG_2248

For the third time in 7 years, Brickhouse Pizza has changed hands.

Ryan Nelson and Jason Marcum who also own and operate The U.G.L.Y Cheesecake Company have purchased Brickhouse Pizza from Bob and Larissa Sullivan.

Nelson says plans for the restaurant- formerly Brickhouse Pizza, Bread and Bagel and Northwest Pizza/Boardwalk Bread ‘N Bagel before that; will include altering the interior as well as tentatively re-branding the restaurant: “Pizza, Bar-B-Que & Cheesecake”. (PBC for short…)

While the duo is known for their elite cheesecake creations, foodies will have to wait to get their fix temporarily, as they have already maxed out of their cheesecake orders prior to their first day.

Nelson shared that the first few days will be pizzas and sandwiches until the ink dries on the Minnesota Health Department’s approval for their changes. Nelson states they aim to bring their smoker in and changing the name when Minnesota resumes ‘normal’ operation.

Nelson and Marcum plan on slowly developing a menu that includes some of their signature bbq pizza creations in addition to sandwiches, salads, bbq, cheesecake and craft beers from several local breweries.

Also, the new owners plan on honoring Brickhouse coupons and BBay certificates for the next 90 days in addition to Warrior card discounts until they expire.

The restaurant is located at 302 Washington Street and their phone number is 218-825-9000.

Pizza, BBQ and Cheesecake… the only 3 food groups needed! Currently drooling all over my keyboard now looking at their offerings… I for one can’t wait to indulge. Best of luck to Jason, Ryan and everyone at the soon-to-be: ‘PBC’.
