Before the pandemic, clubs and bar were planning on a busy spring with loads of entertainment dates booked as we were heading toward summer. The performers of the Midwest CMA were looking forward to concerts and festivals and adding events to their website. Thanks to the coronavirus many of those plans have been canceled or will be yet.
As this has been a blow to the hospitality workers and owners all across the nation, it has also deeply effected musicians who rely on performance to make a living. As we saw more and more of them take to Facebook and Instagram to connect with fans and music lovers, the age of physical distancing was born and events stared going dry. In fact we had made plans a couple weeks ago to go to Monticello to see Moe Dell and the Plott Hounds at a brewery for an evening of music and fun. That night was instead spent watching acoustic web concerts on Facebook. The idea was born to bring the Facebook concert to the radio, to B93.3. In the weeks to come we established that it was in fact possible to bring it not only to our social media platforms, but directly to your radio.
This Friday night at 9pm we launch the first B93.3 Couch Concert From Studio B. Our first guest is no stranger to the Brainerd Lakes Area either. Dariann Leigh joined the B93.3 crew on the ice this year for the Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza and has already seen some airplay on B93.3. She shot the video for her first major song in Nisswa and the surrounding area including a cameos of Rafferty’s Pizza and North Long Lake.

The program will be on the radio at B93.3 starting at 9pm on Fridays. It will also stream online at TodaysBestCountry.com and the B93.3 app (Powered By Associates in Eyecare). Since we have taken to watching these shows online it will also be available to our social media as well.
Help us support the musicians, artists and performers of the Midwest CMA as we try to make this situation we’re all living in a little bit better.
