The city of Brainerd has announced that it is now seeking applicants who would like to fill the position of Mayor after current Brainerd Mayor Ed Menk announced his retirement, effective March 31st, (2020).
Menk stated that he is retiring because he needs to downsize his responsibilities and he has family members with health issues who need him. Those interested in filling the position can submit applications now through March 18th. Applications are available at city hall and on the city’s website. They are due no later than 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18th, 2020.
