Early morning on Friday, June 28th, a North Memorial Air Care pilot and a nurse were killed following a helicopter crash at the Brainerd Lakes Regional Airport.

A GoFundMe has been started for the pilot who passed away in the crash. Tim McDonald was a 44 year old man who was a Minnesota native that lived in Danbury, Wisconsin. Deb Schott, 58, a nurse from Biscay, Minnesota, also passed away at the scene of the crash. Joshua Duda, 42, of Pillager, Minnesota is a paramedic who was also in the helicopter when it crashed and was injured and taken to St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd.

The story attached to Tim McDonald’s GoFundMe:

North Memorial Healthcare lost members of their healthcare family tragically today Friday, June 28, 2019 as their Brainerd, MN EMS helicopter crashed killing Tim McDonald, Pilot, and the flight nurse. The flight medic was very critically injured. Tim leaves behind his wife Crystal and 4 children. Crystal will need financial help and everyone’s prayers during such a tragic event. Hearts are so broken. This go fund me is started with deepest love and respect from Brian and Julie Fox. Brian is the lead Pilot at Tim’s home base in Siren, WI.

The GoFundMe has already raised over $12,000 in one day and shows no signs of slowing down. In such a dark time for a family, it’s heartwarming to see so many people donate to help. The link to the GoFundMe is below:
