A Cold One At The Crow Wing County Fair

The Crow Wing County Fair begins Tuesday, July 30th. This year we have the opportunity for the first time to enjoy a cold refreshing beer at the fair. Gary Doucette and Chris Doucimo stopped by B93.3 to talk about the 2019 Crow Wing County Fair on the Morning Show.

There will be two beer gardens at the fair this year. One will be located near the Mills Free Stage on the south end of the fairgrounds. That location will operate from 1pm to 9pm daily. The second will be at the Grandstands and available during events only from 5pm to 9pm. Both locations will be operated by the Brainerd Legion and the Brainerd VFW posts and will serve a variety of 3.2% beers. These organizations will also benefit from the sales.

There are of course some rules you will need to know and follow in order to partake and enjoy this new feature at the fair. Everyone who enters the beer garden will be carded and all beverages will be required to stay in the designated area to be consumed.

The new beer gardens will help offset the cost of keeping our Crow Wing County Fair free for all to attend. This fair is still one of the largest free fairs in all of Minnesota.  Gary and Chris expressed gratitude to the Crow Wing County Board that had to give them permission for the opportunity to begin the beer gardens as part of the fair. Serving Alcohol is permitted at the fair grounds for other events through the year, but has up to this point been excluded from the week of the actual fair.
